The North House Post

The North House Post is a small rebellion against the endless scroll.

Created by North House Society in New Brunswick, Canada, The North House Post is a monthly piece of thoughtful mail for women who love books, nature, beautiful paper, interesting ideas and the quiet pleasure of finding something waiting in the mailbox.

Each edition is built around a different theme and thoughtfully written, researched, designed and curated by founder Melissa Doucet. Inside you’ll find a personal letter exploring the month’s theme, a curiosity drawn from nature, history, science, folklore, literature or psychology, a simple analogue practice and journal prompt, a crossword, a collectible botanical bookmark, an original art postcard and a small sticker created or curated for the edition.

The Post is meant to be interacted with. Read it with your morning coffee. Tuck the bookmark into whatever you’re reading. Work on the crossword at the kitchen table. Pin the postcard somewhere you’ll see it. Write on the pages. Keep them. Share them. Send something along to a friend.

More than anything, The North House Post is an invitation to pay attention. To remain curious. To step away from the screen for a little while and notice the world that is already here.
